Varanasi city older then History


Varanasi is an pilgrimage cente of hindus.Varanasiis situated along the west bank of the Ganges in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Benares is the oldest living city in the world.According to Marck Twain"Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together". Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth.Attracting over a million pilgrims every year, it lives and breathes traditional Hindu religion and culture.Temples form the major source of tourism here and the banks of the Ganges, the centre of much of the religious activity that occurs in the city. it is the hub of many traditional industries and is world famous for its silks. The town does a roaring trade in tourism and its infrastructure, hotels, transport.The best season to visit Varanasi and its temples is between October and March. Some of the major festivals and cultural events also take place in this period.

Ranthambore

Ranthambore National Park is situated in Eastern Rajasthan.The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, which is about 130 km from Jaipur. The Jogi Mahal and the Padam Talao are the unique features of Ranthambore National Park. The park is famous for the majestic Tigers, 36 tigers and 40 leopards in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve which can be seen around the lakes and watering holes, prowling through the forest or resting on the ruins of the fort.The Ranthambore National Park is also ideal for taking the snapshots. The rich and diverse variety of flora and fauna includes 300 trees, 50 aquatic plants, over 300 species of birds, 12 reptiles and 30 mammals.the tourists can also observe Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Chinkara, Porcupines and Jackals, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Marsh Crocodile, Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai, Gazzelle, Boars, Mongoose, Indian Hare, Monitor Lizards and a large number of birds. Most of these wild animals can be spotted near the lakes and water holes during the evening.
